This photograph, of the boys of the Youth Storm in formation with the Dutch flag, was made by the NSB. I'm just wondering what the photographer was thinking, setting up this shot. Is there a bit of pride, and a bit of hope? I guess, maybe, they're imagining the future they're trying to build. Think of the light when they were lining up, what it felt like to stand there, or what the air smelled like. These are the things that get lost to history. The cool thing about images is that they can bring us back to a place, a time, and a feeling. You know, it's funny, when you make art, you're having a conversation with all the art that came before you.
