Editor: This is a striking triptych by Utagawa Kuniyoshi called *Three Kabuki Actors*. I'm fascinated by the bold lines and flattened perspective. It feels so theatrical, almost like a stage set. What kind of story do you think Kuniyoshi is trying to tell? Curator: I feel the same way. It's as if we're peeking into a dream, or perhaps a dramatic poem unfolding. The stylized figures, the flock of crows overhead—they all whisper of something unseen, a narrative just beyond our grasp. Isn't it lovely how the artist invites our imagination to fill in the gaps? Editor: It is. I think I’m starting to get a feel for this. Curator: Wonderful. It’s all a matter of perspective, isn’t it?
