The Madame B Album c. 1870s

"The Madame B Album" is a photograph album created by French photographer Marie-Blanche Hennelle Fournier, circa 1870s. The album contains a variety of images, including landscapes, portraits, and still lifes, all of which are presented in a decorative manner. The album is a fine example of Victorian era photography, a period when the medium was still in its infancy but was rapidly gaining popularity. It is currently in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago.
