"Maquette, page 10" is a photomontage created by Nathan Lerner between 1935 and 1944. It depicts two figures sitting with their backs to the viewer, and a sculpture of a man’s head in the back of a car. The piece exemplifies Lerner’s interest in social commentary through the use of photomontage. His work often explored themes of urban life, labor, and the American experience. This particular work, composed of two photographs, presents a unique visual juxtaposition of the everyday with the monumental.
