Curiel, I imagine, set up her camera, adjusted the focus, and waited for the right moment to capture the essence of this place. It’s a scene of everyday life. I wonder what she was thinking as she framed this shot. Was she interested in the architecture, the people, or perhaps the way the light played across the landscape? What stories could she tell with her lens? I find myself wanting to step into that moment with her, to see the world through her eyes. Photography, like painting, is a conversation across time, in which one image inspires another.
