"Wine Taster" is a small silver object created by French silversmith Daniel Mameaux in the early 18th century. This piece is designed as a small dish with a handle that is decorated with an engraved cherub holding a bunch of grapes. The inscription on the handle reads "Vive le vin" which translates to "Long live wine." This decorative piece was intended to be used for tasting wine, and it is a fine example of the decorative arts of the French Rococo period. The small dimensions and delicate design of the taster make it a unique and historically significant object.
