Editor: Here we have Ivor Abrahams's *Nereids II*, a print from the Tate collection. I'm struck by its sort of aquatic, dreamlike feel. What do you make of it? Curator: Oh, it's like diving into a memory, isn't it? I see a figure caught in a dance between the earthly and the ethereal. The angularity is almost brutal, yet the colours whisper of something gentle, yielding. Perhaps the struggle between form and fluidity? Editor: That's a really interesting point. So it's more than just a figure underwater? Curator: Well, what *is* just a figure underwater? Consider how Abrahams invites us to ponder the tensions between our constructed selves and the boundless, formless sea within us. Editor: I hadn't thought of it that way at all! Curator: Art's a mirror, love. Reflect yourself, always.
