Editor: We're looking at "Maquette, Three Forms in Echelon" by Barbara Hepworth. The tarnished bronze and strings give it a strange, ethereal feel. How do you interpret this work? Curator: For me, it’s a dance. Those patinated shapes, almost like ancient tools or musical instruments, suspended as if caught mid-flight, humming a silent melody. Do you see how the strings seem to defy gravity? Editor: Yes, they create a sense of lightness and tension. Curator: Hepworth was a master of negative space, wasn't she? It breathes life into the solid forms. Perhaps she invites us to find beauty in the unexpected. Editor: That’s a lovely way to put it. I will carry that with me.
