"Dansende sømand med pibe" (Dancing Sailor with a Pipe) is an engraving by Danish artist Gerhard Ludvig Lahde, created between 1765 and 1833. The print depicts a sailor in a dynamic pose, his body contorted in a playful dance. The sailor holds a pipe in his right hand, with a puff of smoke rising from the bowl, and a ship can be seen in the distance. The engraving is a humorous portrayal of everyday life in Denmark during the 18th century, with its subject matter referencing the maritime culture of the time. This small-scale artwork, measuring 150 mm by 100 mm, is currently housed in the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen.
