Here we see Picasso's "Paloma," made with paint, probably oils, and a whole lot of love. Just look at how the colors don't quite stay in their lines, a real painter's dance. Now, isn’t it something how Picasso used these thick strokes, almost like he was sculpting with the paint? That green, especially on the coat, it's not just green; it's got this raw, almost mossy texture. And then those eyes, slightly misaligned, but full of life. There's a funny kind of truth here, isn't it? That things don't have to be perfect to be real, to be felt. This piece, with its playful spirit, reminds me of Matisse, both finding joy in the process, in color, in the sheer act of painting. Art isn't about perfection, it's about the conversation, the back-and-forth, the what-ifs and the maybes.
