It echoes across time, appearing in ancient Mesopotamian art as symbols of divinity and celestial order. Here, however, the star is abstracted, woven into the fabric of everyday life. These carpets are more than mere floor coverings. They are palimpsests of cultural memory, echoing patterns found on reliquaries, armor, and ceremonial garments, each with its own set of cultural associations.
