This small, 2.9 cm diameter, bronze medal, was created in 1764 by Hans Rogiers van Harelbeke and is titled “Slepersgilde van Amsterdam, gildepenning van Isaak Winckelman.” It is a guild medal and depicts the coat of arms of Isaak Winckelman, the recipient, on one side and a depiction of a ship being pulled with the year 1619, on the other side. The inscription on the coin reads "Isaak Winckelman 12 May 1764." The medal is a powerful symbol of the importance of guild membership and the legacy of the recipient.
