Kyiv Diary 2014

Vlada Ralko's drawing from the Kyiv Diary series presents us with a startling convergence of the human and the animal. The figure, rendered in a stark palette of pinks and blacks, grapples with avian forms that seem both menacing and integral to its own being. Observe the lines; they are restless, raw, and charged with an immediacy that reflects the unsettled state of its creation.
