Is it supposed to tell something about taking care during the trip? Curator: Consider how fruit has been employed in art history. A offering sustenance is the literal depiction here, of course. And notice how it also speaks to themes of paradise, nourishment, and even temptation. Then, step back to recognize what all the details suggest collectively. The history, faith, cultural significance. What do you notice? Editor: That makes sense. But I also see just the immediate need for simple human comforts amid displacement. Almost regardless of who the holy family is, what do those necessities represent? Curator: Exactly! The mundane intruding on the divine, highlighting a central tenet in the larger narrative: God choosing to experience mortality. Does seeing that layering add meaning? Editor: Absolutely!
