Steven Steinman created this artwork, using graphite and ink on paper. Observe the rhythmic dance of lines and circles. The linear strokes cascading vertically evoke the ceaseless descent of rain, a symbol as ancient as time itself. Adjacent, we find concentric circles rippling outward, reminiscent of water disturbed, each undulation a whisper echoing through ages. Consider the motif of rain—a symbol of cleansing, renewal, and fertility. From ancient fertility rites to contemporary environmental consciousness, rain holds a primal significance deeply embedded in the collective psyche. Like the ouroboros, the snake eating its tail, the rain cycle represents the eternal return, a theme echoed in countless myths and rituals. These patterns create a psychological landscape, engaging our subconscious and inviting us to contemplate the elemental forces that shape our existence.
