"En okse" (Danish for "An Ox") is a small woodcut by Niels Skovgaard, created between 1868 and 1872. The artwork depicts a single ox in profile, standing in a field of grass. The simple composition and detailed lines are characteristic of Skovgaard's early work. The woodcut is part of the collection of the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen. This artwork is considered a fine example of animal studies in Danish art.
