"Bacchanten met wijnkruik" (1652-1707) is an etching by Franz Ertinger (1640-?), and depicts a scene of revelry. The image portrays a group of Bacchantes, followers of the Roman god of wine, Bacchus, engaged in various activities related to the god’s worship. The etching is a fine example of 17th-century Dutch art, showcasing the artist's skill in capturing the human form and creating a sense of movement and energy. It is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum and measures 105 mm in height and 162 mm in width.
