Editor: This is "Full Moon" by Yiannis Moralis, done with... well, we don't know exactly *when*, but it's strikingly modern. I find it so calming; that smooth blue against the clean shapes…what captures your eye? Curator: It’s an elegant dance of simplicity, isn't it? A nocturne composed of geometric forms. It almost hums with a silent energy, those curves nudging against stark angles. Does it perhaps remind you a little of Miró, or even Matisse's cut-outs, but with a distinctly Greek sensibility? Editor: A Greek sensibility... interesting. I see the Miró connection now that you mention it. How so Greek? Curator: It’s that serene light, the echo of the Aegean in that blue. It speaks of clarity, a paring down to essentials that feels very much in line with a certain classicism. It’s as if he's captured a fleeting moment of moonlight on a Cycladic island. Editor: Wow. I was just seeing nice shapes, but your description unlocks a whole different level. The Aegean moonlight... lovely! So much more than just geometric abstraction. Curator: Art’s a two-way mirror, isn’t it? It reflects the artist’s soul and our own. Editor: Exactly. I came in seeing shapes and colours, and now I'm leaving with moonlight and Greek islands swirling in my mind. Curator: Perfect. That’s the moon’s magic.
