This 1702 etching by Pieter van den Berge, titled *Allegorie op de landing van de Engelse en Nederlandse vloot bij Cadiz, 1702* (Allegory of the Landing of the English and Dutch Fleet at Cadiz, 1702), is a masterful example of 18th-century Dutch allegorical art. The artwork depicts a symbolic scene of the English and Dutch fleets landing at Cadiz, Spain, using a lion and a unicorn to represent the respective nations. The lion, representing England, stands on its hind legs grasping a column with the inscription “Non Potest Cadere” (It cannot fall). The unicorn, representing the Netherlands, stands on its hind legs while holding a banner with the inscription "Ultra" (Beyond). The artwork is a visual allegory of the strength and resilience of the English and Dutch navies. It can be found in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
