Albrecht Dürer's "The Holy Trinity," a 1511 woodcut, is a complex representation of the Christian Trinity. The image depicts God the Father holding the crucified Christ, with God the Holy Spirit as a dove hovering above them. Angels surround the figures, their faces and wings creating a sense of awe and majesty. The detailed perspective and realistic figures were characteristic of Durer's work and influenced the development of Northern Renaissance art. This print, now housed at the British Museum, has been widely admired for its technical skill and devotional subject matter.
