Cabinet organ 1797

This 1797 cabinet organ by Ahlert Gerhard Axsen is a fine example of Rococo style furniture with its ornate carvings and gilt details. The organ features a set of pipes, a keyboard, and a set of drawers. The cabinet doors are open, revealing the interior of the organ. The top of the organ is adorned with three gilded figures, a cherub, and a winged angel. The organ would have been used for private performances or for religious services.
