"Caster" is a set of three silver salt cellars made by Isaac Liger in 1723. Each piece consists of a bell-shaped body with a pierced top for pouring. The salt cellars are adorned with decorative details including a sculpted stag on the body and the artist’s initials. This set of casters provides an example of the silversmithing popular during the French Rococo period. The set of casters is currently located at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
