This unique armchair, titled "Steer Horn Armchair," was crafted sometime between 1870 and 1880 by an anonymous artist. The chair features a lavish green and gold patterned upholstery with tufted cushions and a bold, ornate design that is characteristic of Victorian furniture styles. Its most striking feature is its use of steer horns to form the back and armrests, highlighting a blend of natural materials with luxurious design elements that was popular during the 19th century. The chair is currently on display at the Art Institute of Chicago.
