This 17th-century German needlepoint lace, from the collection of the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Dresden, is a fine example of a "Brede strook" (wide strip) pattern. The intricate design features a repeating motif of squares and rectangles, creating a complex and visually pleasing geometric pattern. The artwork, dated 1888, was photographed by an anonymous artist and is currently housed at the Rijksmuseum.
