Rummer c. 1800 - 1820

This clear glass rummer, or drinking glass, dates back to the early 19th century. The piece is decorated with an etched band of floral motifs around the rim, a common decorative technique of the time. This rummer, now part of the Minneapolis Institute of Art's collection, stands on a square base and is a fine example of early American glassmaking.
