Editor: Here we have Richard Wilson's "Slice of Reality (II)". It's a mixed media work featuring sketches and photos of what looks like a ship. There's a wistful, almost ghostly quality to it. What do you make of this composition? Curator: Ah, Wilson. He’s a bit of a trickster, isn't he? This feels like a puzzle box. The ship forms are almost like architectural renderings, a slice indeed. Do you get a sense of deconstruction, a reality broken into fragments? Editor: I do, now that you mention it. It's like the ship has been dissected, and we're seeing its inner workings laid bare. Curator: Exactly! Wilson’s works often play with perception, challenging our assumptions about space and form. He invites us to question what's real and what's imagined. I find that exciting. Editor: I can see how this piece can be interpreted as more than just a depiction of a ship. Thanks for that insight! Curator: My pleasure! Always a delight to peel back the layers.
