Club Bottle c. 19th century

“Club Bottle” is an anonymous work of glassblowing from the 19th century. The bottle’s clear, light green glass is a common material for bottles from the period, and the swirling, uneven texture and shape are typical of handblown glassmaking. It is housed at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. This bottle exemplifies the craftsmanship and artistry that went into creating glass objects in the 19th century.
