Editor: Here we have John Byrne’s print of St. Sepulchre’s Church in Cambridge. It's quite a stark image, and the two figures are dwarfed by the architecture. What do you see in this piece? Curator: I see more than just an architectural study. Consider the Church's namesake, the burial site of Jesus. How might Byrne be commenting on faith, power, and the societal structures of his time? Editor: That's interesting. I was so focused on the technical aspects, I didn't consider the broader implications. Curator: Art invites us to consider such questions, particularly regarding the institutions that shape our lives. Hopefully it also makes us question whose stories are being told, and whose are being omitted. Editor: Thanks, that's given me a lot to think about. Curator: Likewise.
