This is a drawing by Othon Friesz, of a female nude. We don't know the date, but just look at that line! I can just imagine Friesz moving around his model, trying to capture the essence of her form with each stroke. It looks like he's using ink, and it's amazing how much information he can convey with so few marks. Notice how the lines are thicker in some areas and thinner in others, creating a sense of depth and volume. It's like he’s not just drawing what he sees, but what he feels, too. I think Friesz's drawings are fascinating. You can see how he's playing with line and form, but he's also building on what other artists have done before him. It's all one big conversation, and that's what makes art so exciting! We are all learning and evolving together.
