Editor: We're looking at "Lovers," a Harry Holland print. It’s so small, but incredibly charged. There's a tension between the figures, a push and pull. What do you see in this piece? Curator: It’s like a half-remembered dream, isn't it? The density of the hatching gives it an almost suffocating quality, trapping the figures in this intimate space. I wonder, is it tenderness or a struggle? Perhaps both, all tangled up together. Editor: I hadn’t thought of it that way, but I see what you mean! It’s less romantic, more…complex. Curator: Exactly! Art isn't about simple answers. That tension is what makes it sing, or maybe whisper, in your ear long after you've walked away.
