Exécution de Katte 

"Exécution de Katte" is a monochromatic drawing depicting the execution of German nobleman Johann Christoph von Katte, who was executed on November 6, 1730, for his involvement in an attempt to flee with Frederick, the Prince of Prussia. The artwork shows Katte standing by a window as he watches his own execution taking place. It is one of the most famous works by the Czech Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha, whose works often depicted historical events and figures. The scene is rendered in a realistic style, showcasing Mucha’s ability to capture the drama of the moment.
