Editor: This photograph is called *Amtrak Series. Artificial Cloud, Providence, RI* by Rodger Kingston. I'm struck by the stillness, even though it seems captured from a moving train. What do you see in this piece? Curator: That's a great observation! For me, it's about the poetry of the everyday. Kingston captures these homes, almost like a child's drawing of houses, against that fleeting "artificial cloud." It’s dreamy, isn't it? Almost like a memory. Does it make you think of anywhere specific? Editor: Not really, just a general feeling of nostalgia, maybe. I hadn’t considered the cloud might be artificial, though! Curator: Exactly! The title adds a layer of intrigue, doesn't it? It makes you question the reality you're seeing. For me, it’s about questioning our perception of the world around us.
