Z poľa domov 1930 - 1933

Arnold Peter Weisz-Kubínčan created this pastel drawing of rural workers with the title "Z poľa domov", which translates to "From the Field Home". We don't know precisely when, but the artist was active in the first half of the 20th century. Kubínčan's work is rooted in the cultural landscape of interwar Czechoslovakia. The painting depicts laborers returning from work against a backdrop of rolling hills and haystacks, possibly a reflection on the agrarian lifestyle prevalent in many parts of the country at the time.
