This is Carel Begeer's "Offerbus", it is not dated but made with silver. The object is so pure in form, like a minimalist sculpture. The light reflects off the surface, creating a subtle play of shadows and highlights. It makes me think about the physical act of hammering and shaping the metal. Look closely, and you can see the gentle hammer marks, tiny imperfections that reveal the hand of the artist. This reminds me that art is about process and the artist's touch. The simplicity and focus on materials remind me of Brancusi's sculptures, both artists had a similar interest in stripping away ornamentation to reveal the essence of form. Art isn't about answers, it's about inviting different perspectives.
