Neville Keasberry created this photograph of the Kali Brantas bridge south of Malang. The composition is defined by a strong horizontal axis in the iron bridge which spans the river. This is countered by the diagonal lines of the riverbanks, creating a series of triangles and trapezoids that give the image a sense of depth and stability. The black and white medium accentuates contrasts in texture, from the smooth, flowing water to the dense foliage of the surrounding forest.
