"Mélinte en Palamède ontsnappen in een boot" (Mélinte and Palamède escaping in a boat) depicts the escape of the lovers Palamède and Mélinte, who are being pursued by the character of the novel, "The Prince". The dramatic lighting, the turbulent movement of the characters, and the detailed backgrounds are characteristic of Bosse's Baroque style. The etching was created in 1639, and is now part of the Rijksmuseum collection in Amsterdam.
