Beginning of Autumn 

Stefan Popescu's "Beginning of Autumn" is a landscape painting depicting a group of trees with lush foliage, suggestive of the transition from summer to fall. The use of vibrant colors, including shades of green, yellow, brown and blue, brings the changing season to life. Although the date of the painting is unknown, it is characteristic of Popescu's work produced during his lifetime, between 1872 and 1948. Popescu was known for his landscapes and portraits, and often employed a style influenced by Impressionism.
