This small, circular box is made of dark brown material and has a simple design. It was awarded to Bart van Hove in 1868 by the Vereeniging ter bevordering van fabriek en handwerknijverheid in Nederland, afdeling 's Gravenhage for his contributions to the Dutch industrial arts. The box, measuring just 5.15 cm in diameter, is a testament to the importance of craftsmanship and innovation in 19th-century Netherlands. It now resides at the Rijksmuseum.
