This is a photo album with three portraits of a couple in love, probably from the early 20th century. Looking at this, I can almost feel the tactile nature of old photographs - the thickness of the paper, the way the images fade and shift over time. I wonder about the photographer, Rotary Photo. What were they thinking as they framed these moments? I imagine the delicate balance of light and shadow, and the need to capture a certain essence - love, happiness, or simply the desire to be remembered. Each pose tells a different story. The first is formal and sweet, while the third is intimate and playful. It makes me consider how we use images to shape our identity, our perception of ourselves and our relationships. This album is a quiet echo of human connection, not unlike the conversations we artists have through our work. It reminds me that making art is about marking time, connecting, and leaving a trace of our existence.
