This Aperitif Glass, made by an anonymous artist, is such a delicate little thing. It's like a sketch in glass, isn't it? I love how the light catches those spiraling threads around the stem, making it look almost like spun sugar. The glass itself has a slightly frosted quality, a hazy veil that softens everything. It’s as though the artist wasn't aiming for perfection but something more fleeting, more human. Think about the hand that shaped it, the breath that blew it. There’s a dance between control and chance, a conversation between the maker and the material. You can see this same dialogue with Cy Twombly who made marks, that embraced imperfection and transience. Art is never really finished, it just keeps changing.
