This untitled print was made by Alla Horska. Look at the way she's approached the process of image-making: bold cuts, stark contrasts. It’s like she’s wrestling with the material, carving out space for light and shadow to play. I'm drawn to the dense blacks and the way they interact with the pale ground. The texture feels almost sculptural; you can imagine her hand guiding the tool, each mark deliberate, yet full of raw energy. See that cluster of stars near the top right? They're not just decorative, but feel like a kind of celestial release, a burst of emotion in the stillness of space. Thinking about Horska's other works, there's a similar intensity, a commitment to capturing the human experience with unflinching honesty. It reminds me a little of Käthe Kollwitz, in the way both artists use printmaking to convey profound empathy and social commentary. In art, as in life, it’s the conversations and the connections we forge along the way that truly matter.
