Yellow & Green 2007

Daan Lemaire made this 65 x 80 cm painting called 'Yellow & Green' with a playful energy. I can just imagine the splattering, the swishing, the dabbing of the brush on the canvas. The yellow, green, and blue hues mix and mingle, creating a sense of movement, a feeling of constant change. I'm getting a sense of nature, like foliage or flowers bursting open in spring, full of light. The blue and green hues seem to recede, while the yellows seem to burst out, expanding outwards.
