Approaching Storm Clouds 

Curator: What do you think? Storm’s coming, right? I can almost smell it looking at this. Editor: I sense that pre-storm hush, that moment when everything is still and expectant. Before us we have "Approaching Storm Clouds," a plein-air oil painting by Thomas Moran. Note how he captures a fleeting atmospheric moment with impressive realism. Curator: Yeah, you nailed it.
