Editor: This is Menashe Kadishman's "Bridge," a print from the Tate collection. The green, textured geometric shapes layered over the landscape are striking. What can you tell me about the materials and production? Curator: The layering immediately grabs my attention. I see the rough texture of the green shapes juxtaposed with the softer landscape. How do you think the printmaking process itself contributes to the message? Does it challenge ideas of high art versus mass production? Editor: It definitely makes me think about the labor involved. The texture almost looks like a kind of manufactured material. It is definitely questioning value. Thanks, this has been really helpful. Curator: Yes, considering the materiality alongside the social context really enriches our understanding. I agree.
