Editor: So, this is Jack Bush's "Three and Blue Loop," from an unknown date. I’m struck by the contrast between the rough background and the smooth, almost playful, brushstrokes of color. What's your take on this piece? Curator: It's like a visual haiku, isn't it? Bush is playing with the push and pull between structure and spontaneity. I see the three bars of color almost as musical notes, and then that blue loop is like a flourish, a little dance. Editor: That's interesting. I hadn't considered the musicality of it. Thanks, I think I see it a little differently now. Curator: Art's like a good song, always revealing new layers the more you listen.
