Małgorzata Serwatka made Dauka 6 with a kind of delicate touch, layering colour and texture to build a form that seems both solid and ethereal. It’s all about the dance of line and hue, watching how a simple mark can turn into something quite complex. I am drawn to the swirling, almost hypnotic central form. It feels like a tornado of texture and color. Serwatka uses this technique to create a visual journey that's not just about looking, but about feeling the movement and rhythm of the piece. The juxtaposition of warm golds and cool reds gives it a vibrant, almost pulsating quality. You can almost feel the energy radiating from the painting. There’s something of Hilma af Klint in this, with her own use of swirling forms to create an abstract and spiritual image. Like Klint, Serwatka reminds us that art doesn’t always need to be pinned down with one meaning. It's more about the experience and the questions it stirs within us.
