"Heilige Bruno weigert het bisdom van Reggio" (Holy Bruno Refuses the Bishopric of Reggio) is an etching created between 1623 and 1676 by French artist François Chauveau (1613 - 1676). The print depicts the moment when Saint Bruno, kneeling before a figure who appears to be a bishop, refuses the offered bishopric. This scene is set in a grand interior, with draped curtains, a table, and a group of onlookers observing the event. The etching is now part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The artwork is a fine example of the Baroque style in art and captures the dramatic moment of Saint Bruno's rejection of worldly power.
