Editor: So, this is Auguste Raffet’s “Bouzeo Passage.” It’s a print, but the exact date is unknown. I find the scene quite dramatic – all those horses! What strikes you most about this work? Curator: It makes me think about journeys, doesn’t it? The uncertainty, the reliance on others… it's almost like life, viewed through a Raffet-tinted lens! It is also an interesting example of how artists rendered movement. Editor: Movement, yes! All those horses feel chaotic. Curator: Exactly! Perhaps that chaos is the point. Or maybe it’s Raffet simply capturing the energy of a specific moment in time. What do you think? Editor: I didn't quite see that before, I feel a new appreciation for it. Curator: That's the beauty of art, isn't it? Always something new to discover.
