Editor: So, here's a quirky little photograph from the Harvard Art Museums, "Untitled (man putting shorts on chimp)" by Jack Gould. It’s a small print, and I find the scene rather… unsettling. What's your take? Curator: Unsettling is a good word for it! I feel a certain… displacement when I look at it. We're seeing a power dynamic, of course, but also something more intimate. The chimp's gaze, that's where the real story lies, I think. What do *you* see in its eyes? Editor: It looks rather resigned, maybe? I hadn't really considered it that deeply.
