Sleeping Cupid 1550 - 1599

This is an anonymous line drawing of a Sleeping Cupid on paper. It is held at the Statens Museum for Kunst in Denmark. We can see that the image of Cupid draws on a long and rich history within Western art, dating back to classical antiquity.
